The UAE uses Gulf Standard Time year-round with no daylight saving. The working week runs Monday to Friday. Most public holidays follow the Islamic Hijri calendar and are confirmed only shortly beforehand based on moon sighting, so official dates for Islamic holidays are estimates until confirmed by the UAE government.
