Russia Calendar

Russia spans 11 time zones, from Kaliningrad (UTC+2) to Kamchatka (UTC+12); this page uses Moscow Time (UTC+3), which has no daylight saving. The year opens with a long New Year break running into Orthodox Christmas on 7 January, and Victory Day on 9 May is the country's most important national holiday.

Each year the government issues a decree moving weekend days to build longer breaks, so some Saturdays become working days and some weekdays become days off — those transferred days off are listed here. A holiday falling on a weekend generally moves to the next working day, except for the January holidays.
