Kuwait Calendar

Kuwait uses Arabia Standard Time (UTC+3) year-round with no daylight saving. The working week runs Sunday to Thursday, with Friday and Saturday as the weekend. Late February is the country's main national celebration, when National Day and Liberation Day fall back to back.

Kuwait's fixed holidays are New Year's Day, National Day (25 February, marking independence in 1961) and Liberation Day (26 February, marking the end of the Iraqi occupation in 1991). Islamic holidays depend on moon sighting and are omitted here, and the Cabinet often shifts or bridges days off around weekends — see our Data Sources page.
