Is Tomorrow a Holiday in Japan?
About Dates & Time in Japan
Japan uses Japan Standard Time (UTC+9) year-round with no daylight saving. The country has one of the world's more generous public holiday calendars, and a 'citizens' holiday' rule turns any single working day sandwiched between two holidays into a bonus day off.

Japan observes 16–17 national holidays a year. Most are fixed or rule-based (e.g. Coming of Age Day is the second Monday of January), but Vernal and Autumnal Equinox Day are set by astronomical calculation and only officially gazetted in February of the preceding year, though reliably predictable in advance. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following non-holiday weekday becomes a substitute holiday (furikae kyūjitsu).
