Greece Calendar

Greece uses Eastern European Time (UTC+2, UTC+3 in summer). Its moveable holidays follow the Greek Orthodox Easter, calculated with the Julian calendar — so Clean Monday, Orthodox Easter and Whit Monday usually fall later than their Western counterparts.

Clean Monday (the start of Lent) falls 48 days before Orthodox Easter, and Whit Monday (Agiou Pnevmatos) 50 days after it. Holidays falling on a weekend aren't moved, but Labour Day may be shifted by ministerial decision when it lands in the Easter period. Each town also has a local patron-saint holiday, not shown here.
